Week 9

We have had 2 visits from Katrina in the last 2 weeks. We have enjoyed her coming and teaching us some new games. We were able to crack the hundreds code really fast after one practice.

We are much better at renaming using place value after using the money this week.

Our Maths journey is nearly over. Mrs Green finishes teaching us this week.

Week 7

We are continuing with Place Value and have learned Beat It, a cool game with place value to get the number closest.

We are enjoying using the Gattegno boards to help us break down numbers. We have continued to work hard. Well done team.

Week 5

We have moved on to Place Value and have been having fun re naming amounts using Place Value Blocks.

We have learned a new game Win, Loose or Draw to help us with Place Value.

Week 3

We have spent the last 2 weeks learning about fractions. We used M & Ms to find fractions of sets. It was yum.

Next week we will move on to Place Value.

Week 1

This term I am lucky to be working with a small group of Year 4 students, as part of a Ministry Project for Maths. Here is my little group on the first day. We are going to be doing some exciting things, concentrating on Fractions, Division and Place Value.
We will be working together for 45 mins from Monday to Thursday. They are an enthusiastic bunch so I am really looking forward to working with them.
